Two Long-Time Residents At Henderson Called

Henderson, Neb. — Two long-time residents of the Henderson community were called away in death one week apart. Both were members of the Bethesda Mennonite Church.

Funeral services for A. A. Regier, 85, were held July 29. He was born in Russia in 1876 and came to this region with his parents in 1878. He farmed near Henderson until retirement. Death came some days after he suffered a stroke of paralysis in his garden in Henderson.

Services for Klaus K. Friesen, 79, were conducted Aug. 6. Born in Hamilton County, he farmed in Hamilton and York Counties except for five years in Sherman County. He had been confined to a wheel chair for the past five years. He died at the Henderson Community Hospital.

Both leave large families, including a number of great-grandchildren.
