text of obituary:

Mrs. C. A. Regier

Mary Dueck Regier was born in 1868 of August 10th, in South Russia.

In the year of 1875 she immigrated with her parents to America and settled don a farm east of Buhler, Reno Co., Kansas.

Here she spent her childhood, and received her education under various instructors.

In the year 1888 on the 2nd day of September she was baptized on confesion [sic] of faith by Elder Bernhard Buhler, and became a member of the Hebron Church where she was a member in good standing the time of her death.

On the 21st day of February of 1889 she entered into holy matrimony with C. A. Regier, with whom she shared joy and sorrow to her end.

Having lived with her husband for forty years, nine months and six day.

To this marriage were born eight children, five daughters and three sons, of which the oldest daughters passed to their reward in infancy.

The sorrowing members at this time are her husband, three daughters, Mary, Anna and Clara, and three sons, Gustav, Ferdinand and Paul and one brother Klaas Dueck and two sisters, Mrs. Jacob Siemens and Mrs. Enns, and a host of friends.

The deceased always seemingly enjoyed good health and took great interest in her family and home.

Last Tuesday morning she got up as usual, to help prepare the family breakfast, when suddenly she was attacked by acute dilitation [sic] if the heart, and by which she was overcome and died, at 7:45 A. M. December 17th, 1929, at the age of 61 years, 4 months and 7 days.

She has been a good mother to her family, and it seems hard to have her taken away from us so suddenly, and although we do not understand the will of our Heavenly Father, we have implicit faith that we shall meet again.

C. A. Regier and Family.
