Ivan I. Regier was born March 3, 1916, in Hamilton County, Neb., to Isaac C. and Kathrina Siebert Regier.
He attended school District No. 73 East and graduated from Henderson High School. He also attended two years of Bible school under John R. Barkman's and David Hooge's instruction. His 45 months of Civilian Public Service were spent at Ft Collins, Colo., Lapine, Ore., Terry, Mont., and Northfork, Calif.
On June 5, 1938, he came to saving faith in Christ, and he was baptized and became a member of Bethesda Mennonite Church, where he remained a faithful and active member until his death. He also was a member of Gideons International, involved in Bible distribution.
On Jan. 2, 1949, he was united in marriage to Helen Koop and together they farmed in the Henderson aree. His wife preceded him death by a few weeks and their son, Philip, died in 1977.
He died unexpectedly Dec. 3, 1990.
His survivors include his daughter Eunice and husband Bill Moore and their daughter of Placerville, Calif.; daughter-in-law Dorothy and Larry Friesen and three daughters of Monmouth, Ore.; two brothers and their wives, Alfred and Jeannette Regier of Wichita, Kan., and Pete and Eleanor Regier of Chandler, Ariz.; four sisters, Matilda O'Toole of Brooklyn, Mich., and Marie Regier, Elsie and husband Jacob E. Friesen and Levina and husband David Quiring, all of Henderson; one uncle and three aunts.

Irvin I. Regier, 74, died Dec. 3. He was born March 3, 1916, to Isaac and Katherine (Siebert) Regier. He was married to Helen Koop on Jan. 2, 1949. She died Oct. 12, 1990. Survivors are one daughter, Eunice (Mrs. Bill) Morse of Placerville, Calif.; one granddaughter; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy (Mrs. Larry) Friesen of Monmouth, Ore., and her family; four sisters, Marie Regier, Elsie (Mrs. Jacob E.) Friesen, LaVina (Mrs. David) Quiring and Mathilda O’Toole of Brooklyn, Mich.; and two brothers and their wives, Alfred and Jeanette Regier of Wichita, Kan., and Pete and Eleanor Regier of Chandler, Ariz. He also was preceded in death by a son, Philip. — Matilda Hiebner.
