— Friends here were shocked when the word spread around that Mrs. W. E. Regier, wife of Dr. Regier of Whitewater, died at the Bethel Hospital early Monday morning. She was suffering from a cerebral ailment and was brought to the hospital Saturday. Death came quite unexpectedly on Monday. She is survived by her husband and two adopted daughters, Elizabeth, and Mrs. E. L. Claassen. One sister, Miss Clara Schmutz, lives in Newton. Funeral services are to be held Thursday afternoon at the Emmaus church of which she was a member.

— A large gathering of relatives and friends last Thursday filled to capacity the Emmaus church at Whitewater, Kansas, for the funeral of Mrs. Elizabeth Regier, wife of Dr. W. E. Regier. Mrs. Regier died Monday, Nov. 18, at the Bethel Hospital. Two adopted daughters, members of a group if five orphan children brought to Kansas from Pennsylvania in 1919 by the General Conference home mission board, and her grief-stricken husband, survive to mourn her death.
