ABRAHAM J. REGIER

Abraham J. Regier was born on April 26, 1869, in South Russia. Six years later, in 1875, he came to America with his parents. They made their home in the Mennonite settlement at Mountain Lake, Minnesota, where Mr. Regier grew to young manhood.

At the age of 25 years, he went to Kansas in search of employment. while there, he met Lena Rose, with whom he was united in holy matrimony on March 6, 1897.

After continuing their stay in Kansas for about one year, Mr. and Mrs. Regier moved to Oklahoma, where they established their home for the next 15 years.

In 1913 they came to California, living first at Wasco and later in Shafter where they made their home until the death of Mr. Regier on February 21, 1943.

At a series of meetings being conducted in Wasco, Mr. Regier came to realize his need of a Savior. Troubled and perplexed, he sought peace of heart and mind. He found comfort and assurance in these words of Jesus: "Verily, verily I say unto you, He that heareth my words and believeth on Him that hath sent me hath everlasting life and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life." To these words he referred often when he faced the doubts and fears which often troubled his soul in the long season of intense suffering brought on by the disease of cancer.
