Mrs. Aron M. Regehr
Inman, Kan., Nov. 9. — Mrs. Aron M. Regehr, nee Wiebe, was born Oct. 26, 1869, in Berdjansk, South Russia. She emigrated from Russia to America with her parents in the year 1874. In 1878 she was baptized upon her confession of faith by Elder William Ewert and was received as member into the Bruderthal Church. March 13, 1885, she was united in marriage with Aron M. Regehr. They have lived in the bonds of matrimony 44 years and seven months. She was sick and invalid for fifteen years, spending her time in a wheel-chair. She was seriously sick for eighteen days. During the last two days she was speechless. The hour of her deliverance came Oct. 31, at 2:10 A. M. She attained the age of 68 years and four days. Ten children were born to this union, of these six have already gone to their reward. Nineteen grandchildren were born.
She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, four children, seventeen grandchildren and a host of friends.
Funeral services were conducted in the Township Hall last Sunday afternoon. Rev. Klaas Kroeker officiated and was assisted by Revs. A. T. Enns and P. T. Neufeld. The church choir rendered a number of selections. The remains were laid to rest in the South Cemetary [sic].
