Indiana Brothers Killed When Auto Crashes Into Truck

Archbold, Ohio. — Two brothers en route from Archbold to their home at Grabill, Ind. were killed early Monday morning, Aug. 31, when their auto crashed into an oncoming semi-trailer on U. S. 6 southwest of here.

Donald Lee Rediger, 22, and his brother, Marion R. Rediger, 17, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Rediger of Grabill, had left Archbold after loading a truck with eggs for the Miller and Neuhauser Poultry Company of Leo, Ind.

Their auto reportedly hit the rear drive wheels of the tractor part of the truck and then bounded into the rear tandem of the trailer. It is believed the younger brother was driving, and that the older youth was sleeping in the back seat. It was some time before the bodies could be removed from the crushed car.

Donald Redinger [sic Rediger] was a student at Taylor University, and his brother was a high school junior. Besides their parents, they leave a sister, Yvonne; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David Rediger of Leo and Mrs. Grace Harrlod of Fort Wayne.

Funeral services were held Sept. 2 at the Evangelical Mennonite Church of Grabill.
