Lancaster County Farmer Killed When Thrown From Truck

Ephrata, Pa. — A three-vehicle accident near Akron on Nov. 5 claimed the life of John J. Redcay, 55, farmer of Reinholds.

The funeral was conducted Nov. 9 at the Martindale Old Mennonite church, of which he was a member.

Mr. Redcay, driving a panel truck, was leaving Risser's Farm Market when hit by an oncoming car on Route 222. He was thrown from the truck, and then apparently was hit by a third vehicle which swerved to avoid the accident.
