Early-Day-Kansas Immigrant Dies

Pawnee Rock, Kan. — Mrs. Nettie Ratzlaff, 98, a resident of this community since the turn of the century, died Jan. 18 at the Gleason community Rest Home where she had been a patient one week.

Born in Poland on Jan. 13, 1870, she came to this country at an early age. Her marriage to Tobias Ratzlaff took place in Barton County, Kan. in 1890. He died in 1924.

Survivors inculde [sic] a son Herman and a daughter, Miss Albertina Ratzlaff, both of Pawnee Rock, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
