&bull; Two aged members of the Hoffnungsau Church near Inman, both lifetime residents of the Buhler community, died within recent days. Henry Ratzlaff, 87, died Oct. 7 at the Bethesda Hospital in Goessel, and the funeral was held Friday forenoon at the Buhler Mennonite Church with Rev. Harold Thieszen and Rev. Dick Rempel officiating. Jacob Schmidt, 85, died Sunday afternoon at Mercy Hospital in Moundridge. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Hoffnungsau Church with Rev. Rempel in charge. Mrs. Helen Schierling, 71, wife of Abe T. Schierling of Buhler, died Oct. 10 at the Unruh Nursing Home in McPherson. The funeral was conducted Monday afternoon at the Zoar M. B. Church, Inman with Rev. E. C. Ollenburger officiating.
