FATHER OF THREE SECOND PARALYSIS VICTIM AT MT. LAKE

Mountain, Lake, Minn. — Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Erland Waltner at the Bethel Mennonite church here on Aug. 28 for Willard Rahn, 28, who passed to his eternal reward on Sunday, Aug. 24, at University hospital in Minneapolis following an attack of infantile paralysis.

His death was the second to be recorded in this community this month as a result of poliomyelitis, Arlene Loewen, 16, having succumbed on Aug. 9. He wal [sic] ill only four days.

The deceased leaves his wife, Esther; to sons, Larry and Roger, and daughter, Delpha; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. G. Rahn; two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Emil C. Rupp, Mrs. John Gruhike and P. P. Rahn of Mountain Lake and Rev. Ben Rahn of Paso robles, Calif.

Rev. Rahn was called to Minneapolis from General Conference at Berne, Ind, and arrived three and one-half hours before his brother's death.
