Great-Grandmother Dies On Visit in Iowa

Winfield, Iowa. — Mrs. Daniel J. Raber, 80, of Goshen, Ind. died at a nursing home here on Sept. 7, two weeks after suffering a broken hip in a fall while on a visit in the home of her daughter at Wayland.

The former Minnie A. Gerber of Hickory County, Mo., she was married there in 1904 to Daniel J. Raber. They moved to the Goshen community in 1912.

Surviving are her husband, of Goshen; two sons, John C. of West Lafayette, Ind. and Edward D. of Goshen; two daughters, Mrs. Ray Wyse of Wayland and Mrs. R. B. Widmer of Winfield; 16 grand-children and 20 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at a funeral home here, after which the body was sent to Goshen for final services in charge of John Mosemann of the Goshen College Mennonite Church.
