Former City Mission Supt. Dies in Florida
Sarasota, Fla. — Funeral services for Frank B. Raber, 65, long-time pastor of city mission churches, were held May 18 at the Bay Shore Mennonite Church here. He died May 14 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
After graduation from Goshen College, Bro. Raber served as superintendent and pastor of the Detroit Mennonite Mission, Detroit, Mich. from 1930 to 1950. From 1951 to 1955 he was pastor of the Kansas City Mennonite Church, and since then had resided in Sarasota. He had suffered from a heart ailment for several years.
Survivors include his wife, the former Clara Jennings, two sons and one daughter.

FRANK B. RABER
Frank B. Raber, son of Daniel and Mary (Nofziger) Raber, was born Dec. 26, 1989 at Holden, Mo. and died May 15, 1964 in Sarasota, Fla. He spent his youth in Portage County, Ohio. On May 4, 1926 he was married to Clara Jennings of Concord, Tenn. In 1929 he was graduated from Goshen College.
From 1930-1950 he was pastor of the Detroit Mennonite Church, and from 1951-1955 he was pastor of the Kansas City Mennonite Church. For the last nine years he had lived in Sarasota with his wife who survives him.
He is also survived by two sons, Merrill of Newton, Kan., and Chester of Hagerstown, Md.; a daughter, Ann (Mrs. Willard Huusberger [sic Hunsberger], of Denton, Texas; two brothers, Charles of Aurora, Ohio, and Ray of Loveland, Colo.; one sister, Elizabeth (Mrs. Noah Hilty), of Marshallville, Ohio; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services, in charge of Tim Brenneman and Michael Shenk, were held at the Bayshore Mennonite Church, Sarasota. Interment was made at the Manisota Memorial Park in Sarasota.
