<center><h3>WILMER ALLAN QUIRING</h3><center>

Wilmer Allan Quiring was born Aug. 17, 1919 in Mennon, Sask. to John E. and

Helena Lepp Quiring. He studied at Bethany Bible

Institute, Hepburn, Sask., Pacific Bible Institute in

Fresno, Cal., Hartford Seminary, Conn., and Gordon

Conwell Theological Seminary, Mass. While at

Pacific Bible Institute, Wilmer met Eugenia "Jean"

Fowler, whom he married in 1949. They served with

the MB mission board in La Cumbre, Colombia,

from 1952-1956, administering and teaching in

a primary school. After a period in the U.s. for

Wilmer's education, the family returned to Cali,

Colombia, in 1959 to work in a church leadership training program. In 1964, the family returned to

Connecticut to care for Jean's mother, and Wilmer

completed his MDiv. While working, he contrib-

uted in Christian ministry, both in his home church

and in other New England churches. After a move

to Fresno, Cal., Wilmer managed a shopping centre

from 1974 until retirement in 1986. He also enjoyed

long periods of ministry with West Park Bible

Church, Fresno, and Calva rio MB Church, Dinuba.

After Jean's death in 1991, he married Edna Thiesen

Jantz. Predeceased by Jean, Wilmer is mourned by

Edna; children Naomi (Yukio) Mizumoto, Phebe

(Richard) Wahl, Lois (Steve) Ewert, John (Karen); 8

grandchildren; 6 siblings. The celebration service

was Nov. 19 at North Fresno MB Church.
