MRS. ANNA QUENZER

Our dear mother, Mrs. Anna Quenzer, daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Woelk) Dyck, was born in Krafolsdork, Germany on May 29, 1885, and went to be with the Lord Sept 12, 1961, at the age of 76 years, three months and 14 days. All of her immediate family preceded her in death.

At the age of seven she came to America with her mother and brother and settled in Beatrice, Neb. In 1899 they came to Paso Robles, Calif. and settled in the Adelaide area.

On Oct. 1, 1905, she was joined in holy matrimony to Fred Quenzer. The Lord blessed this union of love and devotion for 52 years at which time father went to be with the Lord.

Mother Quenzer was baptized upon confession of faith in her Lord at the San Marcus Mennonite Church by Rev. Jacob Hege. Though she was confined to her bed some months prior to her passing away, she maintained an interest in her church and its activity until her death. Her Christian witness was displayed through her cheerfulness and she was known throuhout the community for her ready smile.

She is survived by her sorrowing eight children, Martha of the home, Karl of Maywood, Calif., George and Albert of Paso Robles, Ruth (Mrs. Louis) Claassen of Paso Robles, Rev. Paul Quenzer of La Crosse,Wash., Elizabeth of Big Bear Lake, Calif., Lydia (Mrs. Robert) Broeckel of La Crosse, Wash.; five daughters-in-law, two sons-in-law, 19 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many friends. She was preceded in death by one son, Adolph.

Funeral services were held on Sept. 15, 1961, at the First Mennonite Church in Paso Robles with Rev. Robert Suderman officiating, assisted by Rev. M. J. Galle. — The Family.
