Nina Ruth Preheim, 21, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed E. Preheim of Monroe, Washington, died after an extended illness shortly after noon Wednesday, June 22, in the Columbus hospital at Seattle.

She was born in Reno county, Kans. on September 30, 1916. At the age of nine, Nina became a resident of route two at Monroe, where she has lived the last 12 years.

Nina was a member of the first Mennonite church of Monroe. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed E. Preheim of route two, Monroe; a brother, Delmar E. Preheim and a sister, Florence Faye Preheim.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 P. M. at the Mennonite church, with Rev. M. M. Lehman officiating. Lehman spoke words of comfort on the following words from Ecclesiastes 12: Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw night when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.

Sympathy of the community is extended to members of the family of the deceased.
