Two From Mexico Colony Killed in Truck Collision

Two members of the Kleingemeinde settlement near Cuauhtemoc, Mexico were instantly killed in a head-on truck collision some weeks ago, it has been learned here.

Largely attended funeral services for Cornie D. Plett, 18-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben P. Plett, and Jacob A. Bartsch, 32, father of five children, were conducted in the settlement on May 12. Ministers C. D. Reimer and Ben P. Loewen gave stirring messages.

The two victims had taken a truck load of hogs to Monterrey and were returning with a load of cotton seed when their truck collided with a speeding semi-trailer between Satillo and Torreon. The driver of the semi-trailer was killed also.
