Little Boy Falls Into Feeder Auger
Hagerstown, Md. — An accident at the Roy Petre farm near here on June 24 claimed the life of the Petres' two-year-old son, Marcus.
The boy was walking on the shield of a feeder extending out from the silo when it collapsed, throwing him head-first into the auger. His body was pulled along until it met an obstruction, stalling the auger. He was dead on arrival at the hospital.
The funeral was conducted June 27 at Reiffs Mennonite Church.
