Peter James Peters died peacefully Aug. 10. He was born Apr. 30, 1921 in Plum Coulee, Man. to James and Agnes Peters. At 14, he left home to work as a farmhand. When he was 20, he met Kay Penner, who was only 14. Peter attended Kay's baptism, which made a significant impact on him. One Sunday morning at age 25, Peter's car wouldn't start so he walked to a church several miles away. At this church, he was convicted to become a Christian. Shortly afterwards, Peter and Kay were married. Peter worked at various vocations, including trucking and concrete finishing, and took pride in his workmanship.
