Funeral services were held at the Bethel College Mennonite Church, North Newton, May 17 for Hermina (Mrs. Ernest) Peters, who died May 14 at her rural Newton home. She was 84. Born Hermina Schmidt, she was married in 1918 to Ernest Peters at Goessel. They lived on a farm near Walton until his death in 1959. Surviving are five sons, Harold, Alfred and Eldo, all of rural Newton, Irvin of Buhler and Edwin of Rosthern, Sask.; two brothers, R. B. Schmidt of rural Walton and H. B. Schmidt of Newton; a sister, Augusta Schmidt of Newton; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
