MRS. HELENA PETERS

von , South Dakota, to Isaac and Anna Schmidt. In 1899 the family moved to Canada, settling southwest of Rosthern, Sask. At age 13 she accepted the Lord as her personal Saviour. On July 27, 1911 she was united in marriage to Henry P. Peters . To this union were born six sons and six daughters. Two sons , Peter and Clarence, predeceased her. In 1924 Mr. and Mrs. Peters were baptized and joined the Hepburn Mennonite Brethren Church. To her family she was known to have a sincere, deeply devoted life. She passed away December 14 at age 82. The Peters had the joy of celebrating both their golden and diamond wedding anniversaries. Left to mourn her departure are her beloved husband, Henry; four sons: Isaac of Saskatoon, Arthur of Hepburn, Erwin of St. Catharines, Ont., and Rueben of Rapid View, Sask.; six daughters: (Mrs.) Annie Braun of St. Catharines, (Mrs.) Frieda Fadenrecht of Blaine, Wash., (Mrs .) Esther Jost of Meota, Sask., (Mrs.) Hilda Siewert of Meadow Lake, Sask., (Mrs.) Justina Wichoreck of Weekes, Sask., Reubena Peters, missionary to South Africa, and (Mrs.) Erica Peters, widow of son Clarence: five sons-in-law; four daughters-inlaw; 27 grandchilden; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, (Mrs.) Minnie Friesen of Meade, Kansas: one step-sister, (Mrs.) Mary Giesbrecht and a host of friends. Funeral services were held in the Hepburn Mennonite Brethren Church on December 17.
