text of obituary:
Abraham Peters was born in south Russia on the 27th day of March, 1893.
In 1911, his father died and in the same year his mother with the children emigrated to America and made their home near Corn, Oklahoma.
In 1913 he was converted and upon confession of faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour he was baptized by elder J. S. Krehbiel and became a member of the Bethel Mennonite Church of Hydro, Okla.
He was united in marriage to Anna Balzer in the year of 1919.
They went to Wyoming intending to make their home there but came back to Corn again. From there they moved to Wawaka, Texas. Since then they have lived in various places, a while near Boyd, Okla., then at Huntoon, Texas, and at the time of the accident they lived at Meade, Kan.
On the 15th day of Sept. he was seriously injured when another car collided with the car he was riding in, five miles north of Beaver City, Okla.
He succumbed within 4 hours of the accident.
He was conscious and able to talk until death. He attained the age of 33 years, 5 months and 19 days.
He leaves a wife, 2 boys, a mother and stepfather, 3 brothers and 2 sisters, a host of relatives and friends to mourn his too early and sudden departure.
They do not mourn as such that have no hope but he left them with the blessed assurance that he was safely going to the eternal home above. — Washita County Enterprise.
