• Sister Gertrude Penner of the Bethel Deaconess Hospital received word that her brother, Waldo H. Penner, 60, died at Arkansas City Tuesday at 11 p.m. after a heart illness of a few weeks. Mr. Penner, a son of the late Rev. H. D. Penner, was associated with the Kansas Gas & Electric Co. in Arkansas City. Survivors include his wife, a son, Lawrence and his wife and two children, of Denver, a daughter, Marilyn of Chimayo, N. M. ; five sisters, Mrs. Walter Niles, Sedgwick, Mrs. J. K. Dirks, Wichita, Mrs. Emil Haury, Tucson, Ariz.; Mrs. A. L. Miller, Partridge, and Sister Gertrude of Newton; also one brother, Albert of Hillsboro. Funeral arrangements are not yet definite.

● Relatives and friends from Newton attended funeral services at Arkansas City last Friday afternoon for Waldo H. Penner, 60, who died there Feb. 12. The services were held at the Presbyterian Church. Mr. Penner was a brother of Sister Anna Gertrude Penner of Newton.
