Mrs. Rachel (Harms) Penner, 70, died Feb. 20 at her home near Valley Center. She was a lifetime resident of the area. Services were held at the Emmaus Mennonite Church, Whitewater, with Rev. Alvin Kleinsasser officiating. She was marred on Aug. 30, 1949 to Arthur Penner, who survives. Other survivors include two brothers, Jacob A. Harms of Newton and Waldo Harms of Whitewater; and one sister, Amanda Harms of Newton.

Mrs. Rachel (Harms) Penner, 70, died Feb. 20 at her home near Valley Center. She was a lifetime resident of the area. Services were held at the Emmaus Mennonite Church, Whitewater, with Rev. Alvin Kleinsasser officiating. She was marred on Aug. 30, 1949 to Arthur Penner, who survives. Other survivors include two brothers, Jacob A. Harms of Newton and Waldo Harms of Whitewater; and one sister, Amanda Harms of Newton.
