MARY PENNER

Mary Penner of Yarrow, B.C. passed away Aug. 30. She was born July 21, 1908 in the Ukraine. In 1925 the family immigrated to Herbert, Sask. They moved to Truax, Sask., where she met and married George Penner Feb. 9, 1928. They farmed in Lawson, Sask., then Glenbush, Sask. and, after November, 1940, in Yarrow, B.C. She and George accepted Christ and were baptized by Jacob Bergen, joining the MB church in Gilroy, Sask. Later they joined Yarrow MB Church. She loved to sew, cook, bake, garden and care for her family. She loved the Lord Jesus, prayed faithfully and practised fairness. Predeceased by her brother and her daughter Margaret, she is mourned by her husband; children Mary Froberg of Bellingham, WA, Martha Boyd, George and Dave, all of Sardis, B.C., and Henry of New Westminster, B.C.; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 sister and 2 brothers. The funeral was Sept. 4 in Yarrow MB Church, with Ron Braun ministering.
