JERRY WAYNE PENNER

Jerry Wayne Penner was born to Dr. Vernon C. and Lila (Schmidt) Penner on Jan. 1, 1946 at Kansas City, Mo. He went to be with his Lord June 21, 1959 at 11:50 p.m. at Parsons State Training School, Parsons, Kan. after a severe illness. Jerry reached the age of 13 years 5 months and 21 days.

In 1951 he attended Heaton School Kindergarten in Fresno Calif. while staying with his mother's sister, Mrs. H. K. Wedel. In 1955 he entered the State Training School at Parsons, which served as his home until death.

Jerry Wayne enjoyed fairly good health until recent months, when he became critically ill. All possible human assistance and medication was given to him to alleviate his severe suffering before his passing to glory.

Happy and lovable Jerry leaves to mourn his departure, his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Vernon Penner, Cimaron [sic Cimarron], Kansas; one brother, Alan, 8; two sisters, Patricia, 9, and Nancy, 5; two grandmothers, Mrs. A. F. Penner of Hillsboro, Kan and Mrs. G. F. Schmidt of Shafter, Calif.; 10 aunts, nine uncles, 29 cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held June 25, 1959, 9:30 a.m. in the Ingalls M.B. church, with the Rev. David Plett and the Rev. Chester Fast officiating. Pall bearers were Dale Fast, Jerry Gaede, Dennis Penner, Roger Friesen, Stanley Brandt and Larry Wiens. Interment was in Garden Crest Memorial Garden, Dodge City, Kan.
