| + | — Funeral services were held at the Grace Hill Mennonite church Saturday afternoon, Jan. 16, for Mrs. Abraham J. Penner, 77, who died Jan. 13 shortly after being admitted to the Bethel Deaconess hospital. Rev. Herbert E. Miller, the pastor, officiated at the funeral. Mrs. Penner was the former Elizabeth Gaede, and was born in Poland. She and her husband lived on a farm near here for many years, moving to Newton four years ago. Surviving are Mr. Penner of the home in Newton, six daughters, four sons, Roland, Ben, Carl and John, all of the Newton vicinity, 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. |
