Services for Inman Youth Held Sunday

Inman, Kan. — Funeral services for Donald L. Penner, 19, who was fatally injured in a truck accident near Okarche, Okla. on May 8 were conducted at the Buhler Mennonite Brethren Church last Sunday afternoon. Rev. Wm. M. Neufeld, the pastor, officiated.

The young man was the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Penner. He was driving a truck for his father who operates a feed business here, when the fatal accident occurred. Investigating officers reported that the truck, loaded with 47,000 pounds of oyster shell, apparently went out of control on a curve.

Donald's companion, 17-year-old Richard John Davis of Inman escaped with minor injuries.

Donald was a 1961 graduate of Central Christian High School in Hutchinson. Besides his parent, he is survived by two brothers, Larry and Lavern, both of the home, and his grandfather, Joseph Stucky of Inman.
