PETER P. PENNER

On November 28, 1966, it pleased the Lord to call Peter Penner of Coaldale, Alberta from a rich and active life to his eternal home. He made preparations for this home in his early youth when he accepted Christ as Saviour and was baptized on confession of his faith on August 4, 1929.

He was born on June 13, 1910 in Southern Russia and came to Canada in 1924. In 1934 he was married to Nettie Schulz and their union was blessed with one daughter and five sons.

He possessed a wholesome combmation of zest for both the temporal and the spiritual; served his community in various administrative capacities; and was active in Christian service as well.

He suffered a serious heart failure in 1959 but recovered to spend seven more years with his family. At the time of his passing he was 56 years, 5 months, and 15 days. He leaves to mourn his wife, Nettie, one daughter Luella and five sons, Ernst, Wilfrid, Victor: Waldo and Harold. He is also fondly remembered by two daughters in-law, one son-in-law, three grandchildren three sisters, one brother and numerous relatives and friends.

The family deeply feel the loss of husband and father but find comfort in the promise of God: "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help." Psalm 121
