John D. Penner of Morris died at the St. Mary’s (Ont.) hospital on Nov. 14 after suffering a heart attack. He and his wife Dorothy were living near their children at Swan River, Man. They were visiting at Ste. Mary's when the heart attack occurred. The funeral services were held Nov. 18 from the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite at Rosenort, with Ministers Jake Bartel and Martin Barkman officiating. Besides his wife, Mr. Penner is survived by 13 sons, seven daughters, 62 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, three brothers and four sisters. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathrine, and two children.
