FRANK JOHN PENNER, 57
Frank John Penner, 57 was born in South Russia but migrated to Canada at age 19 after suffering hunger, persecution, and loss of property. After arriving at Rosthern, he took up the blacksmith trade at Laird and in 1926 set up his own shop at Mullings. In 1931 he married Gertrude Martens, and God blessed the union with 4 girls and 2 boys. Mr. Penner joined the Mulligan M.B. Church in 1935. After 1941 the family moved to Glenbush, where Mr. Penner farmed for 20 years. In 1961 the family moved to North Battleford.
While visiting his children at MBBC during the Easter weekend, he suffered a heart attack on March 28. His passing is mourned by his children and relatives, as well as by his many friends.
Funeral services were held in Glenbush, Sask., with Rev. Abe Pauls officiating.
