FRANK PENNER

Frank Penner, son of Abraham J. and Lena Penner, was born Feb. 19, 1892, in Marion County, Kansas; and departed from this life Dec. 12, 1956, at the age of 64 years, nine months and 23 days.

At the age of nine he came with his parents to Oklahoma, where they settled on a farm near Weatherford. Here he spent his childhood and received his elementary education.

On Jan. 24, 1915, he was united in holy matrimony to Marie Bergman. The Lord blessed this union with four children, one son and three daughters.

About five years ago, at Claremore,Okla., when contacted by Rev. H. H. Stobbe to make a decision for the Lord, he accepted Christ and later confessed his definite decision to others. This was his comfort in the last hours of his life when he expressed his love to God.

In 1946 he retired from farming and moved to Weatherford where we established a home. Here we enjoyed the children and grandchildren and many friends and relatives.

He was a kind and loving husband and father. His family was his concern and he worked hard to provide for them faithfully. Father enjoyed good health til Monday, Dec. 10, when he complained that he did not feel well. Soon his condition became serious and he was taken to the hospital where everything humanly possible was done, but God had a different plan and called him Home. He was conscious unto the end, and passed away peacefully to be with the Lord. His death was due to internal hemorrhage.

He leaves to mourn his sudden departure, his wife; one son and three daughters,Edna, Mrs. Bearden, and Ervin of Weatherford; Lorene, Mrs. Charlie Smith of Clinton, Okla., Leona, Mrs. Atkenson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren; thee brothers and three sisters, Herman Penner, Portland, Oregon, John Penner, Reedley, Calif., A. W. Penner, Corn, Okla., Mrs. Mary Arment, Tulsa, Okla., Laura, Mrs. J. D. Sawatzky, Weatherford, Florence, Mrs. J. R. Penner, Weatherford; three uncles and four aunts, F. W. Penner, Halstead, Kansas, A. A. Janzen, Woodward, Okla., Will Janzen, Hillsboro, Kansas, Mrs.Anna Epp, Shafter, Calif., Mrs. Margret Story, Turlock, Calif., Mrs. Mary Lowen [sic Loewen], Twinbridges, Mo., Mrs. Sara Guertzen, Canton, Kansas.

We mourn, yet not as others that have no hope but are looking for that happy reunion with Christ and our loved ones in glory. — The Bereaved Family.
