Penner

Catharine Penner was born July 29, 1867, in Germany. She came to America in 1888, and was united in marriage to Gerhard Penner on December 21 1892. To this union were born four children. She was a loving wife and mother. Her husband departed this life December 16, 1915. In the year 1888 she united with the Emmaus Mennonite Church.

Although she had been ailing for the last few years, she was seriously ill only the last few days. She passed away on may 26, 1927, at the age of 59 years, 9 months, and 27 days.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at three o'clock at the Emmaus Mennonite Church with Rev. B. W. harder in charge. Iinterment [sic] was made in the Emmaus cemetery beside the body of her husband.
