SIXTEEN-YEAR-OLD YOUTH DROWNS IN FARM SWIMMING POOL

Belleville, Pa. — Ben S. Peachy, 16-year-old son of Samuel H. and Julia Peachey, drowned in a swimming pool on his father’s farm near here Tuesday evening, June 8.

It is believed the youth suffered cramps while swimming. Two younger sisters with him at the pool ran to the house for help when he failed to come up, but he was not found until about a half hour later.

Besides the parents, he is survived by nine brothers and sisters —seven at home, Caleb of Glenmore and Joshua in Korea.

He was a member of the Allensville Mennonite church where funeral services were held June 11, in charge of Bishop Raymond Peachy.
