— Funeral services for Mrs. Abraham J. Pauls, 84, of Buhler were held Wednesday forenoon at the Bethel Mennonite Church near Inman. Rev. Paul J. Isaak, the pastor, was in charge of the services and Rev. Harold D. Thieszen, pastor of the Buhler Mennonite Church, assisted. Mrs. Pauls, the former Margaret Regehr of Inman, died at her home on May 18 after a short illness. She was the mother-in-law of Gary Veendorp, editorial assistant of the Mennonite Weekly Review. Her husband, Abraham J. Pauls, preceded her in death on June 16, 1950. Survivors include two sons. Art of Inman and Irvin A. of Buhler; and four daughters, Elizabeth and Anna of the home, Tina, Mrs. Ben Epp, of Inman and Lena, Mrs. Gary Veendorp, of Newton.

Mrs. Margaret Regehr Pauls was born on June 1, 1885 at Inman, Kan. to Aaron M. and Elizabeth Wiebe Regehr. She died on May 18, 1970 at her home in Buhler, Kan., 14 days before her 85th birthday. She lived her entire life in the Buhler-Inman community.

She was baptized upon her confession of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord on June 8, 1902 by Elder Heinrich Toews and became a member of the Bethel Mennonite Church near Inman, of which she remained a member until her death. She deeply appreciated the various church services, attending faithfully until the past five years when she could not because of health. She also found much fulfillment in the many projects of the Charity Society of the church.

She was married to Abraham J. Pauls on Nov. 10, 1908 at the farm home of her parents near Inman. They established their home on a farm east of Buhler, where they lived until moving to Buhler in 1947. He died on June 16, 1950. Six children were born to this union.

Through the years she found much joy in her family and was very appreciative of her grandchildren. She was a good mother, always looking on the bright side of life.

She was the last of her immediate family to pass away, having been preceded m death by her parents and nine brothers and sisters.

Those who survive her passing are: four daughters, Elizabeth and Anna of Buhler, Lena and husband Gary Veendorp of Newton, Tina and husband Ben Epp of Inman; two sons, Arthur A. and wife Eva of Inman, and Irvin A. and wife Louise of Buhler; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also two uncles, Abraham Regehr and George A. Regehr, both of Inman, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Bethel Mennonite Church near Inman on May 20, with Rev. Paul Isaak and Rev. Harold Thieszen officiating. Burial was in the Buhler Cemetery.
