MRS. ANNA PAULS

Mrs. Anna Pauls (nee Hiebert) late of Winkler, Manitoba, was born at Niverville, Manitoba, December 20, 1884. the daughter of Jacob and Maria Hiebert and the eldest of a family of seven daughters and three sons. She accepted Christ as her Saviour and was baptized into the Mennonite Brethren Church at the age of 14.

In 1905 she was married to Heinrich Franz Pauls and together with her husband she moved to Clark's Crossing, Saskatchewan where they lived for nine years. For seven years following, they lived in Chinook, Montana, and moved to Winkler, Manitoba in 1922 with a family of seven sons and two daughters. One daughter passed away a few days after birth, and two sons were born in Winkler.

In spite of many hardships her family of nine sons and two daughters, as well as her husband "rise up to call her blessed" today. Her 13 years of widowhood were quiet and contented years. Her greatest anticipation has been to attain her reward in being accepted as "part of the bride of Christ" when he comes to call her unto himself.

She leaves to mourn 11 children with their respective wives and husbands, 38 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
