ANNA PAULS

Anna Pauls of Winnipeg passed away Aug. 11. She was born Nov. 21, 1901 to Heinrich and Aganetha Dueckman in Pordenau, southern Russia. She placed her faith in Christ in her early teens and joined the MB church. The family immigrated to Canada via Mexico in 1926. She married Jacob Pauls a year later, and they began farming at Osborne, Man. She was dedicated to the work of the kingdom, providing untiring support to her husband during his 13 years as lay leader of Domain (Man.) MB Church and participating with him in the diaconal ministry for 29 years. She is remembered for her fervent prayers, love for singing and generous hospitality. Predeceased by her husband in 1977, 3 brothers and 2 sisters, she is mourned by her children Elly Penner, Rudy, Irma, Irwin and Helga Hamm, all of Winnipeg, and John of Osborne, Man.; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and 1 sister. The funeral was Aug. 14 in Central MB Church, Winnipeg, with Gerhard Friesen and Ed Hamm ministering.
