ALBERT E. PATZKOWSKY

Albert Erving Patzkowsky was born April 30, 1895, the son of August F. and Elizabeth Poetker Patzkowsky, near Isabella, Okla. His life was doubtless colored by the fact that he grew to manhood in the early days of Oklahoma history when his home community was still Indian territory. The early rigors of life left indelible impressions on the character of our husband and father which made him a man precious to our way of life.

He was married to Marie Fast on May 29, 1921 and together they enjoyed the blessings of God. This union was made glad at the birth of their son Lawrence. The family relationship was happy, and he found satisfaction in his own home and later in the home and profession of his son, Dr. Lawrence W. Patzkowsky and family of Kiowa, Kan.

Father's spiritual life and longings were shared with those nearest to him. Upon his conversion and confession of faith in Jesus Christ he was baptized on June 1, 1924 by Rev. Fred Fruechting. He was a faithful member of the Mennonite Brethren Church.

When it became apparent that his health was failing, father found renewed peace and joy in his God and he looked for the day of meeting the Lord. He passed away on Feb. 5 at the age of 66 years, nine months and six days.

He leaves to mourn, his beloved wife, Marie; his son, Dr. Lawrence W. Patzkowsky and family; his mother, Mrs. A. F. Patzkowsky of Fairview; his brothers, Bryan Patzkowsky of Isabella, Ruben Patzkowsky of Fairview, and Wesley A. Patzkowsky of Baltimore, Md.; his sisters, Mrs. H. J. Fast of Fairview and Mrs. P. E. Schellenberg of Newton, Kan. One brother, Theodore R. Patzkowsky, preceded him in death. Ours is the hope and knowledge of glad [nite, four having purchased farms. ?]
