— A gunshot wound received last week claimed the life of William Patrick, 13 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Patrick, and funeral services were held at the Alexanderwohl church at Goessel Monday afternoon. The boy received the accidental wound as he was out hunting east of town together with several other boys. In some manner the rifle he was carrying was discharged when he pulled it after himself through a fence, the bullet passing through his abdomen. An operation performed at the hospital brought about some improvement, but he succumbed to his wounds several days later. Funeral services at which Rev. P. H. Unruh and Rev. Logan Martin of Newton officiated, were largely attended. Our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family!
