text of obituary:

Mrs. Evelyn Winsky Pankratz, daughter of Theodore and Katherine Winsky, was born December 31, 1894 in Harvey County, Kansas. She was baptized upon her confession of faith by Rev. S. S. Baumgartner in the Garden Township Mennonite Church, on October 25, 1908.

She received her education in the Hoffnungsau Preparatory School and Bethel College Academy.

She was united in marriage to Otto B. Pankratz on June 8, 1920.

In the fall of 1922 they together entered the mission field among the Cheyenne Indians in Montana.

After about three hears of service, her health failed and they were obliged to discontinue the work, and sought a better climate, coming to Southern California in 1926.

But her health gradually failed. December 5 she was relieved of her suffering at an age of 41 years, 11 months and 4 days. She leaves to mourn her bereaved husband, one son, four daughters, her aged parents, three sisters and one brother and a host of relatives and friends.

We mourn but not as those who have no faith and are assured that she has gone to her Master and eternal home.

She was a member of the Immanuel Church, and Rev. D. D. Eitzen, her pastor, conducted the funeral services.
