Blackout Causes Fatal Collision

Hartville, Ohio. — An apparent temporary loss of consciousness due to drowsiness on the part of the driver resulted in the death of Mrs. John (Mattie) H. Overholt, 60, of Hartville, who was a passenger in a car driven by her son Merle, 24. The car went out of control and struck a telephone pole. Her son escaped with a deep laceration on his arm.

Funeral services for Mrs. Overholt were held July 15 at the Pleasant View A. M. Church of which she was a member. Alvin Wittmer officiated.

Survivors include her husband, two daughters, five sons, 28 grandchildren, five sisters and three brothers.
