Collision in Virginia Claims Second Victim

Virginia Beach, Va. — A grinding head-on collision near Franklin, Va. just six months ago claimed its second victim with the death here of Henry Overholt on March 10.

Instantly killed in the crash was Bishop Jacob J. Hershberger, 57, of this community and well-known leader of the Beachy Amish Mennonite churches. John Henry Yoder was seriously hurt but recovered, while Joe Hershberger has lesser hurts.

Mr. Overholt had shown some improvement from his injuries, but remained in critical condition. He regained consciousness and was able to talk to family members. The largely attended funeral services were conducted at the Kempsville A. M. Church here by Wm. Wagler of Partridge, Kan. and Wm. McGrath of Hayesville, N. C.

Lewis Overholt, son of the deceased, with his family has been on a six-month leave from his work at "Friedensheim" in Berlin, Germany. The family sailed again for Germany on March 24.
