Funeral at Uniontown, O. Largely Attended

Uniontown, Ohio. — More than 550 persons, many from other states, attended funeral services here July 23 for Mrs. Hannah J. Overholt, 86, widow of Joseph S. Overholt.

Mrs. Overholt and her husband helped establish Amish Mennonite settlements in a number of states. After their marriage in Davis County, Ind., they went to Dodge City, Kan. and later to Amarillo, Tex. by covered wagon. Other places where they resided included Centralia, Mo., Norfolk, Va., Alden, N. Y., Moyock, N. C. and Uniontown. Mr. Overholt did in 1937.

They were the parents of John J. and Joseph Overholt, both of whom are active in Conservative Mennonite churches.
