ABE E. OLFERT

Abe E. Olfert of Swift Current, Sask. passed away Feb. 22 of lung cancer. He was born to Daniel and Helena Olfert at Rhinefeld, Man. They moved to McMahon, Sask. in 1919. In 1938 he was baptized and joined the Rhinefeld (Sask.) MB Church. His life was a continuous demonstration of his faith in God. He met Mary Rempel at Bible school and married her in 1941. He farmed near McMahon all his life, an occupation to which he felt called and which gave him great satisfaction. He is mourned by his wife; sons Edward of Moose J aw, Sask., Lawrence of Drumheller, Alta., Irwin of Lethbridge, Alta. and Michael of Okotoks, Alta.; daughters Eleanor Schrag of Swift Current and Linda of Regina. The funeral was Feb. 26 in Bridgeway Community Church, Swift Current, with Peter Klassen ministering.
