SAMUEL E. NUNEMAKER

Samuel E. Nunemaker, son of Samuel and Frances (Ebersole)Nunemaker, was born in Whiteside County, Illinois on Nov. 29, 1891. He went to be with the Lord during his sleep at his home in Maple Rapids, Mich, on July 26, 1973. He attained the age of 81.

He married the former Mabel McCulloh, daughter of Rev. John and Mary (Gsell) McCulloh, at Morrison, Ill. on Dec 25, 1914. She survives.

Sam and Mabel moved to Michigan in 1921. In 1964 they celebrated 50 years of married life together. He was a retired farmer and member of the Bethel Mennonite Church hear Ashley, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary (Nunemaker] Good, and brothers Enos, John and Harvey. He is survived by a sister, Katie (Nunemaker) Hess of Sterling, Ill. and a brother Charles, of St. Johns, Mich.

His life was blessed with one daughter, Lois Nunemaker of Lansing, Mich., two sons, Milford of Tucson, Ariz. and Marvin of St. Johns, Mich., and one foster son, William D. Nash of San Francisco, Calif. He also enjoyed the blessings of five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services were held July 29 at the Bethel Mennonite Church. Pastor Calvin Kaufman officiated, with burial at Collier Cemetery.
