Michigan Youth Dies After One-Year Illness

Waldron, Mich. — Rex L. Nofziger, 19, well-known young man of this community, died on Feb. 19 at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Nofziger, after an illness of one year.

He was a member of the Salem Mennonite Church, where the funeral was conducted on Feb. 22 by Rev. Earl Stuckey, Rev. Max Allen, and Rev. Art O'Dell.

Born at Wauseon, Ohio in 1951, Rex was active in athletics during his high school career and had served as treasurer of the Michigan Future Farmers of America. He had a ready Christian testimony.

Surviving in addition to his parents, Lee and Madelyn (Ferris) Nofziger, are two sisters, Mrs. Allen Wyse of Harrisonburg, Va. and Debbie, at home; a brother, Allen, at home; his fiance, Barbara Cox; and two grandmothers, Mrs. Rex Ferris of Morenci, Mich. and Mrs. Edna Nofziger of Archbold, Ohio.
