Retired Veterinarian Dies at Bluffton, O.

Bluffton, Ohio. — Dr. Waldo M. Niswander, 76, who had retired only two months earlier after 51 years as a veterinarian in this community, died May 30 in the Bluffton Community Hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage.

Dr. Niswander was a community leader for many years, serving at one time as president of the Bluffton school board and as a member of the village council. He also was active in several civic groups.

A member of the First Mennonite Church here, he was chairman of the building committee when the church erected a $100,000 addition in 1957. Funeral services were held at the church on June 2.

Waldo M. Niswander, First Church, Bluffton, Ohio, born Nov. 15, 1887, died May 30. He is survived by his wife and four daughters. He was a retired veterinarian.
