LYDIA YODER NISSLEY

Lydia Nissley Yoder, daughter of Yost and Barbara Stienman Yoder, was born June 4, 1883 near Bertrand, Neb., died at the Northern Pacific Hospital, Glendive, Mont. on Dec. 24, 1963, age 80 years, five months, and 20 days.

On April 2, 1908, she was united in marriage to Daniel Nissley who preceded her in death in 1947. An infant son also preceded her in death.

Surviving are four daughters, (Barbara) Mrs. Monroe Chuipp, (Kathryn) Mrs. Lloyd Hostetler, (Ann) Mrs. Clifford Kauffman, (Ruth) Mrs. Ernest Mullet; a foster daughter, Rosella White; three sons, David, Rufus, and Rudolph Nissley, all from Bloomfield and Glendive except Mrs. Mullet who resides at Hesston, Kan.; 37 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; a brother, Eli Yoder of Fairview, Mich., two sisters, Mrs. Dave Yoder and Miss Sally Yoder of Kalona, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

Lydia accepted Christ as her Savior in her youth and for the last 16 years held her membership with the Little White Chapel Mennonite Church of West Glendive, Mont.

Following a stroke in February 1962 she was left sightless. She bore her affliction submissively and looked forward with anticipation to the final summons to her heavenly home.

Funeral services were held at the Red Top Mennonite Church in charge of Jonas Beachy, with interment at the Red Top Cemetery.
