David Nissley, son of Dan and Lydia Yoder Nissley, was born on March 13, 1914. He died July 18, 1974 at his home near Glendive, Mont. of a heart attack.

Preceding him in death were one infant brother and his father and mother. Those remaining to cherish his memory are two brothers, Rufus and Rudolph; four sisters, Mrs. Monroe Chupp, Mrs. Lloyd Hostetler, Mrs. Charles Kauffman, Mrs. Ernest Mullet; and one foster-sister, Rosella White.

He moved to Montana with his parents when he was an infant. He was reared and schooled in the Bloomfield area. He farmed there until 1947 when he moved near Glendive where he continued to farm for the past 27 years.

He served three years of alternate service during World War II in Forest Hills, Calif., Cascade Locks, Ore., and Belton, Mont. He always had an active interest in missions, which he generously supported along with many church-related organization. He served actively in the Little White Chapel Mennonite Church of Glendive. He had a pronounced interest for the lost and will be greatly missed in the work of the church.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on July 23 at the Red Top Mennonite Church with Rev. Norman Kauffman officiating, assisted by Jonas Beachy.
