Crash Victim Was Native of Berne
Berne, Ind. — A pre-Christmas tragedy near Erie, Pa. which took the lives of a Coldwater, Mich. man and five of his 11 children brought personal loss to relatives here.
Peter J. Newman, 51, who died in the crash, was formerly Peter J. Neuenschwander of this community. Survivors include his father Christian P. Neuenschwander, and stepmother, living near Berne; a brother, Jonas, and sister, Mrs. Andrew Schwartz, also of this community.
